how can we stop text bans from the chatrooms? text banners takin over!

Nothing much just have to wait till yahoo fix the Exploit :shock:

You can report the user doing it with this link

You will notice who is doing it by there posts just having there username with blank after username: maybe lots of times :shock:

(unless yazak has ignored them)

Report them with above link ....you select the user on the list of usernames from that room...you have to be in the room to use the report...select Other and.. enter something like....."This user is using the Text Chat room Banning exploit, what stops all text working in the chat room"

I have reported this Exploit to yahoo many times already...happening for last 2 weeks now...

that link not working for me. it's telling me to sign in with username that is in chatroom. i do but same thing happens.

Update Get newest Yazak with text ban work around

12th November 2009 V8.87.22

Added new /NOBAN command to chat room
if you seen these Text Room Ban's where the text stops use this to continue to post text
to use enter ... and turn on
/noban 1
to turn off again
/noban

I think the text ban thing is not working, not sure if i am using it right or what.

I am told the TextBan has now been patched by Yahoo!

We will have to wait and see.... just hope Yahoo! did a full patch and so not let the exploiters change thier code and get it working again :shock:

Thanks Yazak. U da man! I haven't been "text banned" for like a week now. It's either your filter or a yahoo patch like you said. Let's hope the text banning is done. Thanks Yazak.
